More... After Hours!

I had a meeting today after school with my mentor in the Employment part of my project. This is part of my action because, through this it is very likely that knowlege will be shared on the subject of epilepsy. The meeting was with my mentor Mark Kuczinski and one of my other contacts, Francine Reyher. My mentor is with the Bright Horizon Program. There are 4 sessions that I will be participating in at different points in the near future and I have different points at which times I will be meeting with Mark in which we will discuss dfferent things,( More details may come) This will give me some work experience, which can be added to what work experience I already have and this can be part of my action because it does what I want to do in my project ...Spread Awarness!

Notes... This is It!

Im spending my last day on my notes trying to organized them, putting the source with the info. I'm looking for new imformation ar the same time. I have been very consentrated on one foundation question and I have alot of info on it. I am answering some foundation questions that I havent had time to focus on in depth.

Notes... Again!

Im still at it... Im working on my notes. I am still putting the sources with the information. This is taking a while. Im finding some different information and making sure I put it on with the rest of the notes. This is is taking a while and I'm kind of flustered but this is kind of anoying, although some days are better than other.

Mentor Meeting

I just recieved a email and I have a date and place for when I can meet my mentor. This will be good for me because I can get help on my project from my mentor. I am hoping I can learn things from them that I can incorporate into my classes once I get my classes on the "run". I am working on answering my questions at the moment.

Interview Construction prt.II

I have sent an email to Jordan Hinds regarding my interview, interview questions, and meeting with Jordan. I am now waiting for a response to that message. I am also thinking about the next step that I wish to take with my project.

New Website

I have found a new website that has to do with epilepsy and I am still trying to figure it out. I am also still trying to figure out what questions I want to ask during my interview. My next task will most likely be scheduling my interview after I have finished my questions. I am waiting for an email from Jordan to tell me if I will be able to videotape at the Cardello building.

Interview Construction

I am on the roll with my project, I am now constructing questions for my interview with Jordan Hinds. I am planning to ask him these questions, Now I have to finish the questions and share them with him and set a date.

Busy.... Busy!!

The last couple days have been busy! They are the type of days that are getting me closer to my goal that I have set for myself and my project. I have been getting emails from the people who work at the Cardello Building which houses the efwp. I have found out about an 11 hour training that I want to take, also I have been trying to figure out how I want to be apart of the epilepsy walk that takes place later this month. Also I have the oppurtunity with to attend meetings with a group called Bright Horizons. I am going to try and get set up with a mentor who would be the person I would shadow. This would be important because this would tell me things to know when it comes to being able to talk about epilepsy. This is a positive thing I am wishing to be able to be a part of epilepsy classes that I am trying to start. It will do exactly that, talk about epilesy and how to deal with it. So basically I am saying all of this to say I making progress!!

Process Presentation

Today I am adding to my powerpoint and explaining the different aspects of my project, this is important because doing this helps me know what it is that I want to share with my peers about my project so far. I am informing my peers and all those who look at the powerpoint and hopefully that will help them gain some knowledge, not only of my project but of epilepsy altogether.

Contact Progress

Today I got a reply on my email that I sent to Jordan Heinz, who is going to be my expert on the subject of my project. He shared with me in the email the different ways that I could get involved with the topic of epilepsy. Im now waiting until I get the chance to move on to the part of the project, which is meeting with Jordan to discuss the topic of epilepsy.

Progression... to some extent

Today I contacted the efwp and for those who dont know what that means, it's the epilepsy foundation of western pennsylvania. I contacted someone who knows a good amount of information about epilepsy and can help me in my project. That's the good thing, the bad thing is once again I have to play the waiting game.

Proposal Writing

I have been writting my proposal, its getting closer to an end. At these time I focusing and this other things I am focusing on like the epilepsy scholoarship, I am focusing on what I wish to do as an action plan . I have also, while doing that have emailed Mrs. Staples to see what help she can offer.

Setback

I've been moving along in my project most days but today I have hit a hard spot, I went to dive into the epilepsy scholoarship aspect of my project, but I went to call and contact them and I got no answer, this is the second time I have tried to contact them and so far I havent had much luck with that part, but I'm going to keep trying.

Proposing to Aware the Public

Today I started my proposal, and I was able to put thoughts together as I did this. I am as of right now in a good place with my project, I'm quite excited about my action plan, so I hope that my project ideas or worthy of being able to be put to action because I think that many people can beniefit from the knowlege they can gain in the classes about epilepsy because it is as important as other disorders and disabilities but it doesn't get the attention it deserves and that is why I wish to do this project.
